Frequently Asked Questions
What is repigmentation?
The term repigmentation, micropigmentation and permanent makeup are often used interchangeably to describe cosmetic tattooing.
Why choose cosmetic repigmentation?
Permanent makeup can be a natural looking option for people who are simply looking to enhance their look, or those who have minimal time to dedicate to a full make up routine at the beginning of their day. This is also an option for individuals who have suffered from hair loss, or allergies to conventional everyday makeup. This type of procedure is waterproof and weatherproof allowing our clients to remain stress-free over their look. It is also the perfect procedure for people with limited mobility, and eyesight.

How long will my procedure take?
Depending on the procedure you've selected, they can range anywhere from 1.5 - 2.5 hours from start to finish.
Is it painful?
Everybody has a different level of sensitivity. Numbing cream will first be applied allowed to set. Once your actual procedure is started we will apply more of our high-end numbing to reduce as much discomfort as possible. Rest assured that any discomfort will be far outweighed by your results.
Am I able to go in public after my procedure?
Absolutely! Everybody will react somewhat differently, but most people will have minimal redness following their procedure, this usually subsides within an hour or two. Some clients will have minimal swelling, particularly after eyeliner, this is normal and can be reduced with a cold compress.
How long can I expect my results to last?
Facial treatments can last 1-3 years, before they fade. However, keep in mind that your results can be affected by skin type, UV rays, lifestyle and maintenance. We can discuss these factors more during your visit.
How safe am I coming to you?
We only use 100% disposable tools. We are certified by Blood Borne Pathogens annually, always up to date with our state, and county’s health board office. You will ALWAYS be the first and last person to use your procedure tools. You will see us take our needles and blades out of sterile pre-packaged envelopes. As soon as we are done with your procedure every tool used on you is dispensed in our sharps container and disposed of properly according to state guidelines.
Can you correct badly done permanent makeup?
Yes! We have several clients who have had a less than desirable experience elsewhere and unhappy with their results. We are able to make adjustments to the color with corrective pigments, we can rebalance shapes to be more flattering to your features. We can use a procedure for pigment lightening, which will lighten the pigment in the specific area so that we can modify what is currently there.
Can I book my own appointment?
Absolutely, in-fact online booking our preferred method for scheduling appointments. For your convinence online booking is available to you 24 hours a day.
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)
How long will my SMP last?
Will it blend in with my exisiting hair?
When performing SMP we will usually cover a larger area than is currently needed. We consider the age of the client, hair loss pattern and the reason for hair loss to determine an area that allows for any future hair loss that may occur. We always fade out the tattoo about an inch into the existing hair to create a seamless blend. In short - yes it will blend with your existing hair.
Do I have to shave my head?
What types of pigments do you use?
We use charcoal based organic pigments based on the overal dark tones of your natural hair. They help mimic the colour of the base of a hair follicle. These pigments do not change colour over time. They will soften and lighten a little but at that point it's simply a matter of coming in for a refresher session!
What type of needles do you use?
We use our specialized needle cartridges that are specific for SMP, we use two different types and sizes depeding on your own hair density.
How difficult is the aftercare?
Our aftercare is simple.
What should I do before my procedure?
We always advise that you do not heavily drink the night before as alcohol can thin the blood which will cause you to bleed more than needed. We also say to have a good night sleep and a meal before hand. This will all help make your session go as smooth as possible!
How often do I have to come back in between sessions?
Sessions are generally spaced out between 10-14 days apart. This will allow the skin to fully go through the healing process.
Can I go in the sun with my SMP?
UV rays can fade any tattoo. However, it's not as dramatic as people think. It's always a good idea to look after your skin and wear sunblock or a hat whether you are tattooed or not! #selfcare
Will it hurt?
We use a numbing cream that desensitizes the scalp and helps to alleviate any discomfort. Most clients feel little to no pain!
Will my existing hair be damaged?
The process of micropigmentation acrually stimulates the scalp and will help promote blood flow to the area. This will not damage the existing hair.
Can I go out in public right after my procedure?
Most clients look fine after a session, there is there may be a bit of redness. This will typically subside after a few hours. You are welcome to bring a new clean hat to wear after your session if you are concerned about the redness!
